Executive Overview
Page quality covers a range of checks that don't fit neatly into performance or security — but collectively have significant business impact. Missing social sharing tags suppress click-through rates on shared content. Unmanaged trackers create GDPR/CCPA legal exposure. Mixed content breaks HTTPS trust. Poor readability scores increase bounce rates.
Business Impact
LinkedIn data shows rich-preview links (with full OG tags) achieve 2× higher click-through rates than bare URL shares. GDPR fines for non-compliant tracking have reached €390M (Meta, 2023). Image alt text is required by ADA Title III — missing alt text is one of the top cited accessibility lawsuit triggers.

Social Sharing & Open Graph
- Open Graph tags (og:title, description, image, url)
- Open Graph metadata controls many link previews. Match the title, description, image, and URL to the page being shared.
- Twitter / X card completeness
- Check the intended X card's fields and image. Preview behavior can vary by platform and cache.
- Social links (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube)
- Verify that linked social profiles belong to the organization. More profiles do not automatically improve rankings.
- Trust signals (phone, email, contact, privacy, terms, about, address)
- Working contact and organization information helps readers evaluate the service. Keep details accurate and current.
- E-E-A-T compliance signals for Google quality guidelines
- Authorship and evidence help readers assess credibility. This tool cannot certify E-E-A-T or predict Google's assessment.
Compliance & Quality Checks
- Mixed content (HTTP resources on HTTPS pages)
- HTTP resources on an HTTPS page can be upgraded or blocked. Replace them with working HTTPS URLs and verify the response.
- Images missing alt text (ADA/WCAG risk)
- Meaningful images need useful alternatives; decorative images usually need empty alt text. Inspect the image's purpose.
- Non-modern image formats (WebP/AVIF)
- Modern formats may reduce transfer size. Compare image quality and browser support before replacing assets.
- Images missing width/height attributes
- Image dimensions help reserve layout space. Preserve the intended aspect ratio and responsive sizing.
- Third-party tracker detection
- Identify third-party requests and their purpose. Check that optional tracking follows the user's consent choice.
- GDPR/CCPA compliance risk level
- An automated risk flag is not a legal compliance determination. Review the actual data processing and user flows.
- Flesch Reading Ease score & grade level
- Readability formulas estimate sentence and word complexity. They do not judge accuracy and may not suit every language.
Role-Specific Action Plan
- →Commission a GDPR/CCPA data processing audit — identify all trackers and their legal basis
- →Ensure a consent management platform (CMP) is deployed and properly configured
- →Review GDPR privacy policy to confirm all data processors are disclosed
- →Add all four OG tags plus twitter:card to all key pages
- →Audit marketing tag manager — remove unused pixels (abandoned tools, legacy campaigns)
- →Ensure consent mode is configured for all ad platforms (Google, Meta)
- →Fix mixed content by updating all resource URLs to use HTTPS or protocol-relative URLs
- →Convert images to WebP using build tooling (sharp, imagemin) or CDN (Cloudflare Images)
- →Add width and height attributes to all <img> elements
- →Write descriptive alt text for all informational images — describe what the image shows
- →Simplify homepage copy — use shorter sentences and common words to improve Flesch score
- →Audit and update OG descriptions to be compelling and under 200 characters
